why we go

Why Costa Rica.

For teams based in the Americas, Costa Rica is the easiest 'real wilderness' to reach. Volcanic soil, two coastlines, and the cleanest national grid in Central America. We base most retreats in the Nicoya peninsula — one of the world's five Blue Zones — and pair them with a few days in the cloud forest at Monteverde.

the magic

Five things you'll never forget.

A loose field guide to what we weave into a Costa Rica retreat. Every week is different — the team you bring shapes the week we design.

  1. 01

    Nosara surf & breath mornings

Even non-surfers leave standing. Paired with a daily breathwork session on the beach, this is the most reliably transformative morning we run anywhere.

  2. 02

    Monteverde cloud forest

Suspension bridges through the canopy, hummingbirds at eye level, and a different conversation about strategy than the one you'd have on Zoom.

  3. 03

    Arenal volcano hot springs

Volcanic-fed natural pools under the stars. We hold our late-week reflection circle here.

  4. 04

    Cacao ceremony

Traditional indigenous cacao ceremony with a local facilitator. Heart-opening, slightly emotional, exactly what most leadership teams need and never schedule.

  5. 05

    Sloth sanctuary visit

Optional, but every team votes for it. Sloths recalibrate the human nervous system. Science is catching up to what we already knew.

Could Costa Rica be the room for your team?

Tell us a little about your team — size, what's been hard this year, what you'd like to be true on the flight home — and we'll come back with a custom-shaped week.
